How it Works

  • Register for Close the Loop’s recycling program to ensure your empty ink and toner cartridges do not end up in a landfill!
  • It’s easy – sign up and purchase your boxes, fill the boxes with your empty cartridges and ship your box back to CtL with UPS! At that point, CtL will receive your product and recycle the materials into new products! Click here to learn more about what Close the Loop does with the products received.

What will I receive?” ] Each kit contains 3 boxes (with prepaid return labels attached), liners, zip ties, and instruction sheet inside of a corrugate shipper. The shippers are plain brown corrugate with no outside markings and measure 37.25” X 27.5” X 1.5”. [/bg_collapse]

Boxes are 13” by 13” by 30”. They are designed to sit next to the copy machine for ease of use.

When sealing the box, ensure the label is facing out. Place boxes out at your designated UPS drop spot or take it to your nearest UPS store. (Include a picture of the box closed with the label showing.)[/bg_collapse]

Commodities, such as plastic, metal, toner and ink are recovered and placed back into the post-consumer market (PCR) commodity market. What should I do?” ] Garbage and other plastic bags are an acceptable substitute, if you have lost your box liners.
